We have three permanent beers – Topsail, Gold and Devon Dumpling’. Each beer is different with its own unique flavour and aroma. Our distinctive range of beers mean that we have something for everyone – covering the whole spectrum of beer styles and strengths.
We also brew a number of seasonal ales throughout the year, so keep a look out for them in the pubs. Better still, why not visit the brewery for a tasting session!

Our Award Winning Beers
Gold (4.3%)
An easy drinking, light golden ale and our biggest seller. The unique blend of hops creates lemon citrus overtones which tantalise and refresh the pallet.
Devon Dumpling (5.1%)
A strong golden beer with a fresh hop character. This ale has a smooth taste with a balanced sweetness throughout. Devonshire through and through!
Topsail (4%)
Launched in June 2010, Topsail is a well balanced beer, deep amber in colour with a subtle sweetness throughout.
Our Seasonal Beers 2013-2014
Up 'n' Under (4%) 4th Feb - 17th Mar
Scrum down with a pint of Bays ‘Up ‘n’ Under’. This is a light, easy drinking session beer using a variety of English hops and local Devon malts – making it a sure winner!
Hoppy Days (4.2%) 10th Sep - 8th Oct
Special one off brew using green hops, picked less than 24 hours from brewing. The result is a golden ale bursting with a fresh hop character.
Springtime (4.5%) 18th March - 5th May
This classic English ale is ruby in colour and brewed using local malt and British Brambling Cross hops. The perfect addition to any Spring day!
Spooky Ale (4.4%) 22nd Oct - 2nd Nov
A ‘scarily’ easy drinking light golden brew, well balanced throughout with a smooth haunting after taste.
Devon Stout (4.5%) 6th May - 1st June
A silky smooth dark beer, medium to dry on the palate followed by a bitter sweet finish. This is complemented by aromas of Devonshire chocolate malt and English Brambling cross hops.
Poppy Bays (4.4%) 28th Oct - 17th Nov
A one off golden ale brewed to coincide with Remembrance Day. Bays Brewery are donating 5p of every pint sold to the Royal British Legion.
Summer Ale (3.9%) 3rd June - 31st Aug
A pale, thirst quenching beer with a crisp citrus hop character. The perfect accompaniment to any summers day!
Jingle Ale (4.0%) 12th Nov - 28th Dec
All singing, all dancing Christmas bitter! Deep amber in colour with a subtle sweetness throughout - easy drinking with a festive hoppy finish!
Howzat (4.5%) 10th July - 20th Aug
Brewed exclusively for the Ashes. This light and refreshing golden ale is a tasty all rounder with a fine delivery of hops and local malt. It is sure to bowl you over - ‘Howzat!’

A well balanced, easy drinking ale – perfect for the Christmas hangover!

Cider
Windfall (4.7%)Windfall is a sparkling premium cider made from 100% Westcountry apples. It is light-honey in colour, with a refreshing, well balanced flavour. West Country through and through!
